Split Testing


Split testing is a simple yet powerful way to increase your sales.

By increasing the effectiveness of your webpages, (i.e. increasing the number of people that buy as a percentage of visitors, call the conversion rate) you increase your sales.

The only way to know which sales text and what sales approach is most effective to your visitors is to test different approaches to see which will product the most sales.

That, in a nutshell is what split testing does. Split testing takes 2 different webpages and tests which one sells the most.

Here is how it works:

First, choose what you would like to test.
Start off with 'big' things, like sales approach. For example, hard sales copy versus infomercial.

Next, using a simple testing program,
(we will install at a very low cost) display alternate pages to web visitors. For example, visitor 1 sees the infomercial page, visitor 2 sees the hard sales page, visitor 3 sees the infomercial page and so on.

Every visitor is recorded and each sale is recorded and the conversion rate is calculated for each page.
